In 2018, one of Jacky’s friend gave him a phone grip with expanding kickstand that was very popular at the time, but he threw it away because he found it difficult to use for his big hands. As a modification geek who has the ultimate pursuit of products, Jacky is interested in designing bicycles and remodeling motorcycles. Whenever he is not satisfied with the water cups, bags and other daily necessities that he usually uses, he will find ways to modify them by himself until they are perfect in his view.
After several of his friends complaining to him on the limited finger-space for holding by the popular phone grip with expanding kickstand, Jacky was encouraged to improve it. He spent a couple of days thinking about how to make the phone grip with small space that are uncomfortable for hand have a wider and more comfortable finger-space, after that the SnapTUTU-phone-grip with expanding kickstand was born. For Jacky’s magic experience of modification, it is too easy for him to make a more comfortable phone grip.
SnapTUTU has never done any marketing during its development. The founder, Jacky feels that he only makes products for a small number of people who have the ultimate pursuit of products. Since there is a phone-grip-brand with expanding kickstand spending huge amounts of money on advertising, a large number of people will use it and have poor experience. After purchasing that kind of phone grip, people will definitely want to find a better experienced alternative which makes SnapTUTU never lack users during its development. The founder is more focused on improving the product because of his ultimate belief of product: A good product will attract users by itself.
Rather than building a brand, the founder of SnapTUTU feels that he is giving birth to it for fun. There is rare of brand founder deeply involving in the user’s chat group and keep communicating with users. Every time a new kind of TUTU (a series of phone grips of SnapTUTU)is recognized or complained by users, it makes Jacky to devote all of his efforts to create a better TUTU next time. Meeting users who are more demanding than him makes him more excited!
